Jan 2nd, 2012 Nevis Networks has bagged a prestigious order from a large Municipal Corporation in Western India to implement a Network Access Control System for all it’s users who access Information Systems and servers deployed at the Data Center.
Information Technology Department of the Municipal Corporation provides various Information Technology Services to it’s other departments which includes technical guidance on software development / maintenance, hardware / networking equipment procurement / maintenance, data entry works and training pertaining to Information Systems. I. T. Department is responsible for deployment and operations of various I.T. Infrastructures at the Data Center.
The Municipal Corporation desired to implement a Network Access Control System for all it’s sers who access any resources deployed at the Data Center. The Network Access Control System would authenticate the users on the network before allowing access to the applications / Information Systems, keep audit logs.
In line with this requirement Nevis Networks LANenforcer security appliances will ensure that the endpoint is compliant with its policies before allowing access to the Data Center. It will also check authentication status of the users before allowing access to the Data Center resources. In addition audit trails will be logged in the solution. All the traffic to the Data Center will undergo deep packet inspection for threat and anomaly detection.
